National medical information database needs to fortify nutrition entries

As diabetics, we rely heavily on nutrition information. PubMed, the giant database of medical information run by the National Institutes of Health, apparently falls short when it comes to providing nutritional information.

Writing at KevinMD.com, Eric Rumsey and Janna Lawrence describe the difficulty in using the database to find basic nutritional information.

The database is open to the public. It’s shame that — at least for this one section of its repository — the information isn’t easy to find.
